Situated between natural wetlands and the front nine of the Ocean Course, we sought to create living spaces that were connected not only to the championship course and the ocean, but also to create a community based in the ecology of the Low Country.
Each scheme utilizes traditional building materials such as tabby stucco and natural wood siding to further emphasize the connection to the natural environment. As part of the masterplanning effort, we organized the homes in pods of 3 surrounding a shared courtyard. Raised exterior living spaces in each home help to blur the line between the interior and the exterior while also providing views towards the course and the Atlantic Ocean while situated in the tree canopy.
