A native North Carolinian, Megan grew up in Apex. Spending time riding horses at her families horse farm helped her to develop an appreciation for the relationship between nature and the built environment.
After pursuing a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture at North Carolina State University, Megan additionally received a Masters in Architecture from NCSU in 2012. In 2013 Megan moved to San Antonio, TX to work at Lake Flato Architects, 2004 AIA National Firm of the year.
With Lake Flato, Megan worked across several studios on local, state, and national award winning projects. In early 2019, Megan began her own firm, Toma Farren Architects, returning her focus to projects in her native North Carolina.
When Megan is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, water coloring pet portraits or competing her horse in show jumping.
